Records go back to 1948 where the Fire Station was based in a shed/garage at Lon Goch, Amlwch. A new station was built in 1954 which remains on the premises to this day - however, an extension to this was built in the mid-seventies to provide extra cover for the Shell tank farm (oil company) that came to Amlwch at this time.
Work in the community:
Amlwch's crew supports the local community by attending carnivals and making school visits. They also hold car washes on a regular basis to raise funds for the Fire Fighters charity.
Amlwch Fire Station has a branch of Young Firefighters Association which meets every Monday evening and the station is also used as a base for the Phoenix courses.
