Benllech is a Retained Duty System (RDS) station.
RDS firefighters are skilled individuals who do ordinary jobs and offer evening, daytime and/or weekend cover.
Geographical Area covered:
From Dulas, Penrhoslligwy, Moelfre, Marianglas, Benllech and Redwharf on to Rhoscefnhir, over Bodafon mountain to Maenaddwyn, back to Brynteg, Llanbedrgoch and to Pentraeth.

Station History:
The Original station opened in 1955, and the current Benllech station was opened in 1971, having previously been located at a builders yard on Garreg Lwyd Est, and in a lean-to at the Gwynfryn Garage.
Originally belonging to Anglesey County Council, Benllech station joined all other stations inNorth Wales during the 1996 amalgamation.
Work in the community:
The station supports the local carnival, the rugby club and attendsBangorand District Round Table fetes every year and other charitable events held in the area.
