Crewing:
Denbigh is a Retained Duty System (RDS) station.
RDS firefighters are skilled individuals who do ordinary jobs and offer evening, daytime and/or weekend cover.
Geographical Area covered:
From Denbigh to Bodfari, Afonwen, Llanrhaeadr and Trefnant and over the Denbigh Moors.
Sites of Risk:
NorthWalesHospital, Llandyrnog Creamery, the local hospitals, Denbigh Industrial Estate and the local forestry.
Station History:
Previously located under the town hall,Crown Square, the current station at Denbigh was opened by HMI Smith in 1972. Prior to the 1996 amalgamation, Denbigh Fire Station was part of the Denbighshire and Montgomeryshire Fire Service.
Work in the community:
Crews attend local shows and Denbigh has hosted the Eisteddfod Genedlaethol twice. They also regularly take part in the National Car Wash to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity.
