Interventions
Ultraguard stand alone ‘misting’ system. A sprinkler type of fire extinguishing device designed to protect a single room operated automatically by two smoke detectors, and capable of discharging 100 litres of water into the room for 10 minutes.
Stoveguard Cooker Isolator. A smart device for electric hobs/cookers whereby the hob is scanned by a sensor and the power isolated before a fire breaks out if unattended ‘oil/hot’ cooking is detected.
Fire retardant bed packs to reduce risk from fire for persons who smoke in bed. (single, double or king size).
Fire retardant ‘throws’ to reduce risk from fire for persons who smoke carelessly on soft furnishings e.g. chair or sofa.
Self extinguishing waste paper bins. (the unique design of the bin starves the fire of oxygen to extinguish it)
Fire retardant smokers’ ‘aprons’.
Push button to open retractable top ashtrays.
Smoke Detectors, at least one per level in domestic properties.
Smoke detectors for the hard of hearing. (Mains operated with rechargeable battery back up incorporates high intensity strobe and a vibrating pillow pad which is placed under the pillow to alert the user when in bed).
Arson prevention Flaplock letterbox. A manually lockable letterbox to prevent deliberate introduction of flammables into properties.
Externally mounted letterbox where a flaplock cannot be fitted or other solution found.
Electric extension leads.
Other bespoke interventions can be considered in order to separate any combustible item from an ignition source.
