Chemical spill on the A55 - update
PostedThe A55 remains closed in both directions and fire crews are still at the incident attempting to recover 27,000 litres of a chemical substance and making the area safe.
A specialist chemical recovery company is now in attendance working with partner organisations to bring the incident under control. Fire crews from Colwyn Bay, Bangor, Abergele Wrexham and Holyhead have been in attendance at the incident on the A55 westbound between junction 21 and 22 since a call was received at 10.48am.
Diversions are in place on the A55 but the affected area will remain closed for some time.
