Emergency services are in attendance at a fire in Caernarfon.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to a report of a fire at an address on Pool Street at 08.49hrs this morning (Monday 20^th August).

Six fire appliances were mobilised to the incident, and firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to tackle the fire.

People in adjacent shops and residents in the flats above have been safely evacuated.

Firefighters are currently damping down at the incident but will remain at the scene for some time.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.
