A man has died following a house fire in Colwyn Bay.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to a report of the fire at a property in Greenfield Road, Colwyn Bay at 10.17am this morning (Tuesday 7^th January).

Appliances from Colwyn Bay, Abergele and Llandudno were mobilised to the incident. Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to tackle the fire.

The body of a 52 year-old man was found inside the property by firefighters.

The cause of the fire will be the subject of a joint investigation by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.
