Man dies in fire at property in Brynegwlys
PostedA man has died following a house fire near Corwen.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to a report of the fire at a property at Penrhos, Brynegwlys at 21.01hrs on Friday 15 May.
Two fire appliances from Wrexham, an appliance from Corwen and an aerial ladder platform from Wrexham were mobilised to the incident. Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus and three hose reel jets to tackle the fire.
The body of a man believed to be in his 60s was found inside the property by firefighters.
The cause of the fire will be the subject of a joint investigation by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.
A relief fire crew from Ruthin remains at the scene this morning (Saturday 16th May) attending to hotspots.
