PostedA Fire Officer from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service recently visited Hirael School, Bangor to present the runner up of a bonfire poster colouring competition with his prize.
Jake Jennion was awarded the third prize and was presented with an Argos voucher and a copy of his poster.
He was selected from over 300 entries from youngsters across North Wales. The competition involved colouring in bonfire posters, produced by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, which included the message 'Never play with fire'.
Celfyn Evans from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, who presented the voucher, said: "We are pleased that Ysgol Hirael as well as other schools across the region took time to participate in the bonfire competition. The purpose of such a competition is for youngsters to learn about fire safety in an enjoyable way - we then hope that they retain the safety messages for the future."
