Multi agency recovery operation in St Asaph
PostedThe emergency services, Denbighshire County Council and utility services continue to work together to relieve the situation in St Asaph and the surrounding area.
All main roads to and from St Asaph are now open. Traffic is still being controlled temporarily alongSarn Road, near Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, due to standing water.
North Wales Police will be providing additional patrols in affected areas to provide reassurance and prevent crime.
Superintendent Peter Newton said: "We continue to work with all our partner agencies to minimise the impact of the flooding in the St Asaph area and beyond. As a result, a number of roads have now reopened, enabling people to go about their business as usual. Scottish Power has worked throughout the day to restore electricity to a large number of homes that suffered disruption last night. The recovery of the area to normality remains our priority."
Denbighsire County Council's mobile information centres at St Asaph Library and Glasdir in Ruthin are providing one stop advice to residents, open between 8am and 6pm, seven days a week until further notice.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service continues to operate one High Volume Pump to help remove any residual flood water,
