Bonfire and Firework incidents
PostedCrews from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended 25 bonfire and firework related incidents on November 5th.
Gareth Griffiths, Senior Fire Safety Manager said: "The good news is that generally across the region the number of firework and bonfire related incidents went down compared to last year, and we'd like to thank our residents for working with us to help keep our communities safe.Attending organised displays really is the safest way to celebrate bonfire season.
"However, we were called to a number of incidents related to antisocial behaviour and involving fireworks and bonfires in the Wrexham area. This type of behaviour is totally unacceptable and we will be working with local agencies to tackle the perpetrators.
"Such irresponsible behaviour puts extra pressure on fire and rescue resources. Whilst crews are busy dealing with these incidents, there could be a real need for the resources to attend a life threatening situation elsewhere in the county."
