Bungalow fire near Caernarfon
PostedCrews from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have attended a house fire in Pontrug near Caernarfon this afternoon, Friday 25th May.
Five appliances - two from Caernarfon, one fromBangor, one from Llanberis and one fromMenaiBridge- were mobilised to the scene of the bungalow fire at 12.27hrs.
Firefighters arrived to find the ground floor and roof void of the detached property well alight.
No-one was at home at the time of the fire.
Owing to the proximity of four LPG gas cylinders at the property, three neighbouring properties were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and four main jets to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
