Acetylene cylinder fire in Wrexham
PostedCrews from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have attended a fire involving an acetylene cylinder on Wrexham Industrial Estate this morning, Wednesday 13 June.
Three appliances - two from Wrexham and one from Johnstown- were mobilised to the scene of the incident in the welding area of an industrial premises onAsh Road Northat 09.58hrs.
The fire was quickly brought under control with continued cooling of the acetylene cylinder currently being undertaken, together with further precautionary cooling measures for other nearby gas cylinders which have since been removed.
All factory personnel were evacuated with the assistance of North Wales Police and have since returned to the building.
Damage was confined to the cylinder. The HSE has been infomred of the incident.
