Firefighters were called to a fire this morning at a residential home in Colwyn Bay. Crews from Colwyn Bay, Conwy and Abergele attended the fire at 6.09am on Wednesday 11th July at the property on Ellesmere Road, Colwyn Bay.

One elderly female was taken to hospital and another resident was treated at the scene. The fire was brought under control by 8.10am. There was fire and heat damage to the room of origin as well as smoke damage to the first and second floor of the property.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
