Fire at hotel in Llandudno
PostedFirefighters have been tackling a fire at a hotel in Llandudno.
Crews were called at 20.11hrs this evening (Sunday 26th May) to reports of a fire in the roof space of theAlexandraHotelon Clonmel St.
Appliances from Llandudno, Conwy,ColwynBayand Llanfairfechan attended the incident, together with an aerial ladder platform and incident command unit from Rhyl.
Firefighters used six sets of breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets and a main jet to tackle the fire and carry out a search of the five storey building.
All guests and staff at the hotel have been safely accounted for and there were no casualties as a result of the incident.
Mostyn Streetis currently closed to traffic.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
