Firefighters are dealing with a barn fire near Holywell after being called out at 02.30 hrs in the early hours of Thursday 1^st February and crews remain at the scene this morning.

Livestock, hay and fertilizer were involved in the fire. It is believed that 5 calves perished in the incident.

Several appliances have been in attendance from St Asaph, Deeside, Flint, and Holywell.

Two appliances remain in attendance damping down the fire.

A joint investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.
