A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service presence remains at the scene of the fire involving a plastics recycling site in Factory Road, Sandycroft.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received the call yesterday at 3.14pm (Tuesday 1^st May).

Kevin Roberts, Senior Fire Safety Manager, said: "The incident was dealt with effectively on a multi agency basis.

"Crews have worked tirelessly in dealing with this incident throughout the night and during today.

"We are currently attending to remaining hot spots and will review the situation again this evening in relation to keeping a watching brief at the site.

"The cause of the fire is under investigation."
