Crews are currently damping down at a barn fire in Trefnant, near Denbigh.

Firefighters from Rhyl, Prestatyn, Denbigh and Abergele were called to the property at 13.29hrs this afternoon (Saturday February 2^nd).

The fire is thought to have affected around 20 x one ton straw and hay bales.

Crews set up a portable pump to tackle the fire and worked with the farmer to turn over the straw affected by fire in the barn.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
