We’re Ready, Willing and Able
PostedNorth Wales Fire and Rescue Service is supporting the National Fire Chiefs Council’s (NFCC’s) “Ready Willing and Able” campaign which launched today (15th April), and shows how fire and rescue services in the UK are continuing to protect and support their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Firefighters and support staff across North Wales are using their wide range of skills to provide community reassurance and help, in response to the national crisis.
We are continuing to work with our partner organisations such as Local Resilience Forums, as well as supporting local health partners during this unprecedented time.
These are difficult and challenging times and we are focusing our efforts on continuing to provide an effective and efficient emergency response service across our communities in North Wales.
The circumstances and advice may be rapidly changing, but we will not change our commitment to protecting our staff and those that we are proud to serve.
In addition to our emergency response service we will continue to provide education, prevention and protection to the communities of North Wales with additional control measures.
We are Ready, Willing and Able to do all we can to minimise the impact of COVID-19 and help support people here in North Wales.
Roy Wilsher, Chair of the National Fire Chiefs Council, said:
“Fire and Rescue services across the UK are renowned for responding professionally to the unexpected and this national crisis is no different. We are very proud of crews for stepping forward, using their wide-range of capabilities and skills to ensure community reassurance and support, while continuing to respond to emergencies, during COVID-19.
“The commitment to their communities during this critical time is a reflection of their continued humanity and care.”
