Crews from Wrexham, Chirk and Llangollen are in attendance at a fire in the open at Llwyneinion, Rhosllanerchrugog near Wrexham.

The incident involves 1 tonne of used tyres on fire in a woodland area.

The fire is under control and firefighters are in the process of damping down.

We are appealing for people to keep away due to smoke in the area, and asking properties in the immediate vicinity to close windows and doors.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
